Full-Scale Fire Test Design and Validation

Designed and delivered a full-scale wall assembly for controlled fire testing, working on the project from initial specification through to live test validation and reporting.

The role involved coordinating with multiple suppliers to source compliant materials, managing logistics to deliver all materials to the test facility, and producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings for the test house to construct the wall exactly to specification.

Attended the test in person at the furnace facility in Ireland to witness the burn, verify that all test parameters were executed as specified, and ensure sensors and instrumentation were installed and calibrated in line with project requirements.

During the test, monitored and documented the performance of individual wall layers, recording the timing and mode of failure at each stage. Compiled a detailed post-test report for the client, translating observed failure behaviour into clear, actionable findings.
