About

Hello
My name is Asa.
I’m a Product Design Engineer with a Master’s degree, focused on turning ideas into high-quality, manufacturable products. I'm a highly motivated analytical problem solver who loves using maths and user-oriented design thinking to solve complex technical challenges and am motivated by building things that work well, feel right, and are made with intention.
I combine technical precision with creative thinking, producing accurate CAD models and production-ready drawings across multiple industries.
With experience in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Revit, I take projects from early concepts through to detailed engineering documentation, grounded in Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly. I regularly use 3D printing and prototyping to refine ideas as they develop.
I value clear communication and collaborative problem-solving, and I enjoy working in teams where solutions are developed thoughtfully rather than rushed.
Outside of engineering, I DJ, notably performing at Glastonbury Festival, stay active through hiking and the gym, and enjoy gaming, cooking and travelling.
My Story
At 13, I attended a talk by a Product Design Engineer that changed the direction of my life. Hearing how ideas could move from imagination to engineered reality resonated deeply with me. From that moment, I knew I wanted to design and build things that didn’t just exist, but worked, mattered, and pushed boundaries.
I shaped my studies around that goal, focusing on Product Design, Maths, Chemistry, and Physics before studying Product Design Engineering at Loughborough University, where I completed my Master’s degree. During that time, I developed a strong interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing, drawn to the technical freedom of creating forms and structures beyond traditional constraints.
Through my studies I worked in Paris, Milan, and Dubai, gaining exposure to different cultures, design approaches, and ways of thinking. Experiencing how teams in different environments interpret problems and process ideas broadened my perspective and continues to influence the way I work.
Now back in the UK, I’m pursuing a personal ambition: to design something that has never been done before. Each project, role, and challenge moves me closer to that goal. I believe innovation isn’t accidental, it’s built through curiosity, discipline, and persistence.
